My 2015 Ducato 150 has developed a fault with the rear fog light warning light on the dashboard, it no longer illuminates when the fog lights are switched on. Unfortunately this is not a simple switch but, I have been told, communicates with the Body Control Module. Has anyone else had this problem? And if so how did you fix it? It has been suggested that I run a wire back from the light cluster to the dash and install a warning light. Not a bad idea but it would be easier if I could get a feed from behind the dashboard. So any ideas/views gratefully received👍

Thanks.

If the warning lamp is in the centre dash display, then I would look there for bad connections etc. If it is in the switch, then suspect a faulty switch.

Would it be possible to use the fuse(s) in the dash fuse box for the rear fog lights to provide a supply for a warning light ?
Yes, it’s something I’ll look into, I don’t really want to be grovelling under the van in this weather!

The warning light is part of the main dashboard display and I suspect it’s probably an SMD LED controlled by the Body Control Module, I don’t think they have discrete lights and wiring anymore, certainly beyond my limited skills with a soldering iron!

Are the fog lights on the back actually lit? Maybe it doesn’t illuminate the dashboard display if they are not working / blown etc.

No, all are working just no warning light on the dash. MOT due at the end of the month and this will be a fail unless I can get a fix☹️

iF youve got Multiecuscan connect to the BCM . in F7 adjustments there is a section Rear foglight diagnosis. and F6 Actuator where you can turn on the Fog lights and control circuit.
