Many moons ago I penned an article for a Motorhome magazine on the subject of Veedub Kombis and sent the editor an old VW magazine with one of those conversions on the cover in case he wanted it for an illustration. Bugger never sent it back.

they were quite common several years ago. used to be lots around . not much payload though . bit like modern m,homes.
bet it was a safer motoring mag you sent.
have about 40 yrs of them . well thenm and the later vwmotoring . stopped about 15 yrs ago got too many. started in 62 .
