Getting better month by month.
With 5 Roof Vents, I do not get too hot inside, even in the last few days so the Fiamma won for me as I do like to Extractor feature.

TBH, being a replica did cross my mind as the sticky "endless breeze logo" label was poorly applied in the centre - but without seeing another to compare, I can't say if it's a "fake" [because a replica wouldn't have the branding] or genuine with poor quality control .

However, it works and blasts out a veritable gale, even on lowest setting. It seems pretty well bolted together & has all the appropriate certification & warning stickers so I'm happy.

I found this seller via a search of old "Endless Breeze" threads on here - so there maybe other vendors better/cheaper.
**NB** Comes from the USA - so there are two elements to the pricing - one is price paid to seller & a second amount to eBay's Global Shipping program which guarantees no further custom duties or taxes.
Because of the fall in the pound, the price has effectively gone up to about £72 based on eBay's exchange rate - I used a Halifax Clarity card to get a better rate & I think I paid about £62 (or maybe £66 I can't recall).
Shipping was relatively quick & tracking was good.

Looks the real biz to me - my two look identical down to the sticker.

Am I right in thinking that this can only be used as an extractor fan if it is hard wired. There doesn't appear to be any way of changing the polarity if using the 12v plug.

I have just bought one of these but not fitted yet and I don't think turning it upside down is an option.

The reversible connector is meant to be hard wired but I cannot see any reason why it cannot be connected to a plug for a normal 12v socket.

One thing that I have found out is that it is not meant to be left in situ whilst travelling which I was hoping for and can only be fitted into a Heki Mini when it is fully open which could be a problem in heavy rain as one of the reasons we bought it was to use as an extractor over the cooking area when unable to cook outside.

£50 at Johns Cross, with Funster discount £45 + £6.95 P&P, £51.95 cheapest total that I have found, just ordered one:)
We have just tried to buy one from Johns Cross but they said we couldn't have the Funster discount. @Jim Is this something you need to know about? - they are refusing to give us the Funster discount, because 'we are out of Europe'?

not for 2 years after article 50 declaration has been signed and lodged with EU!

Still he can change his terms to us when he likes.

You should have bought elsewhere as nothing has been announced yet which would have been courteous with an explanation!

I've sent a message to Jim, so will wait to see if he has any success - if he gets a negative response, I shall buy elsewhere!

Just had a message from Peter at Johns Cross. He had no clue about the EU comment and the funster discount is well and truly still on! Have just ordered the fan and the discount was applied, so it's business as usual! Just hope we get some more hot weather so we can use it this year! (y)

Just need to rotate inline plug on 12v supply cable to change polarity so goes from from fan to extractor & vice versa

Yes but that 12v supply cable has bare wires at the end, presumably for hard wiring in but I see no reason why they cannot be connected to a cigarette lighter plug.

The connecting lead with the cigarette lighter plug does not have the facility for reversal.

We've got the cigarette lighter type on both of ours so we must have done that when we got it but I had forgotten about it!

I purchased the Fiamma from Johns Cross almost 4 years ago. I gave it to Armytwowheels last year. Was not overly impressed with it.

What conclusion was reached with regards the effectiveness of the 'Fiamma Turbo Kit Cooling Fan' for those of you that took the plunge ?

Thanks

If you want to make sure the fan can't jump off whilst driving you could use some cable ties through the end of the telescopic supports (I can't tell if there are already small holes it them) and then attach them to the support brackets.

Fitted the Fiamma when the van was new in the main rooflight as the Fantastic vent was too far back to cool the lounge.
For 50 quid it's not bad but a bit naff on extracting nowhere near as good as the Fantastic vent but for the price it's pretty good.

Anyone thought of hardwiring the supplied reverse polarity cable into the 12 volt? I wondered would I be able to drill through and connect to the LEDs on the side without the winder handle to have a permanent connection option since the cigarette lighter is too far away from the vent to work with the other cable. Another stupid idea?
