Morning all,

I am after a fairly wide and heavy duty set of steps I can use on my Flair instead of the built in ones?

I know I have read a thread somewhere about this and there were some great recommendations, but for the life of me I cannot find them!

I need the steps so I can get my youngest child (35Kgs) up and into the van who needs to be manually launched into the van. I can use the van steps but would rather something sturdier, especially for getting him out again.

I've tried the milenco giant step thing but its too low. Ideally I need a 3 step jobby or a 2 step that's taller (if that makes sense)

Many thanks

We use a set like this with our Burstner...

They are listed as 375mm (abt 15" high). Would that be high enough?
I especially like the fact they have rubber feet and have never known them slip on any surface.

I once saw a Lady Funster do a 3.4 degree of difficulty dive carrying a G&T, whilst using a set of these out of the MH as they slid away beneath her feet.
The 'pitch' they were on was those plastic hexagonal grid thingies filled with pebbles

Haven’t seen any 3 step steps you could try static caravan sites as they are quite high

Is this what you need
<Broken link removed>
Possibly. Ill go and make some measurements. thank you.

The post I saw did show collapsible metal things with handles. However I have a handle on the van anyway so maybe not an issue.

Ill go an measure again. I did it in cm!!!

Yeah cant afford to do a dive when I have the youngest on my shoulder. It would be impressive to see but I suspect he would get right on the outrage bus, followed by My wife who would be kicking me when I was down!!

Hi Alan

I just had to return one of those to Leisure shop direct via Amazon. Its too small. My van door step is 31 inches off the ground and the step down from the van onto this is too far when I'm lumping a disabled kid in and out...

if it was a 3 or 4 step version, it would likely be perfect

Paul

many many years! since I was a kid
we used to use a set of dukdalf steps on the previous van. Very strong and have a handrail, which can be swapped to the other side if needed
