How can I clean the exterior water inlet. It is disgusting with black sides ????

I would think if the filler tube is dirty the tank itself will be as bad.
The tank probably needs removing altogether to clean out properly through the inspection hatch.
Doubtful if any food safe chemicals will do the job.

Spray 25% Actiwash/water solution on it, wait 2 mins and most muck just dissolves away with a rinse..

It cleans everything, carpets (in vax machine), seats, melts flies off the windscreen, wheels, cooker, worktop, engine bay, everything. 👍😍

Certainly wouldn't be putting that anywhere near the fresh water system.

Actiwash is an industrial strength cleaner made from extremely powerful blend of detergents and solvents.

Has someone put diesel in it sometime, else useually it gets washed everytime you fill up.

Thanks for that advice, but we have used the tank for over 5 yrs with no problem. I would say that I do not fill from the outside inlet. On a different note, when I read your reply, in red it said “ I’m trying to see your point of view but my head will no go that far up my ass” Not sure what you mean by that?

Probably is, only just joined so don’t really know. If that is what it is meant to be, then I don’t find it particularly funny.

None of them are funny or even remotely entertaining 😁 you can switch them off in the settings menu thankfully.

I agree, thanks for the info I will certainly have a look at switching them off
Take care

If you're still reading that is my joke signature and not part of my reply.
