Extended bench

Hi all I have a accordo 120 brand new ( I know I didn’t need to add that but hey ho ) anyway I asked my dealer to get me a quote for a lift up bench extension,one is located as you enter the m/h ,next to the sink ,i want another one next to the grill hob its a small pop up bench ,got an email £265.00 plus £ 75.00 to fit that’s 4 screws .im still in shock so anyone know of a place I can get one made ?? If you search google for folding caravan worktop or flap (not Bench) there are quite a few options available

Will do I’ve been looking at that option,I was shocked the dealership was going to charge that amount. The world has gone mad .

You can buy the folding supports quite easily and there are 2 main types, metal ones which are L shaped (you need two) and plastic triangular ones which are much cheaper (you only need one but do need hinges too) and ideal if you don't intend to sit an elephant on it! All you then need to do is source a worksurface that you're happy with - if you want a matching one then that WILL cost you as they are usually only available from the manufacturer but a close match, or even a contrasting one, won't cost the earth. You can buy them off Ebay and have one custom made to the size/shape/colour you want a for a lot less than you are being quoted.
