We're preparing to take delvery of an Exsis i soon and I'm trying get everything ready in advance.

I have a speedometer dial in mph and I understand from Hymer that the lights should be adjustable.

Can anyone confirm if there are two rear fog lights, and if not the best way to make the change to the UK spec?

Yes it has twin foglamps. The Headlamps are really easy to get at on the Exsis, just need to take the rubber cover off the back and move the lever.

Who are you buying from?

That's a long way to bring it back. We bought the last two vans and the new one that is due at the dealers today from Campirama in Belgium. They drive the van to the port for us.

We have the 598 with the island bed ....... the choice was based on it being the lightest A class with an island bed that we could find. We have however got the dealer to up the weight to 3860kg which should give us a payload of 970kg based on the MIRO of 2890kg. But even plated back down to 3500kg it still gives a payload of 610 which should be enough .....planning ahead !

Good news that your insurance company have given you fully comp for both the mainland Europe leg and the UK leg although I've never heard of that before. Best to confirm that in writing as most insurance companies only give fully comp once you've arrived in UK.

You may think you've got a massive payload based on the 3860Kg chassis but if it's only a paper upgrade excercise you'll still have the same permissable axle loads as the 3500Kg chassis.

Staveley Head have told me that they will give fully comprehensive cover based on the VIN number alone
That is good I'll give then a ring. Last time I used NFU they only give cover from UK port & now will only do it for current policy holders. Safeguard will do it from foreign port.
