Express VPN problem (1 Viewer)

I have just signed up to express vpn, prior to going outside the UK I have just been trying it out with the various tv player apps iplayer - itv - all4, they will not play. The vpn is set to London Docklands and I am in the UK however iplayer for example says "content not available in your area" and also - you are using a vpn iplayer does not recognise. I have spoken to Express Help who have suggested various fixes such as changing to another UK vpn and switching to the desktop version of the BBC website but all to no avail. Anyone got any ideas to make it work?

It sounds like the TV providers have blacklisted the servers used by Express vpn, we had similar a few years ago, we ditched Express and now use Nordvpn, never had a problem, personally i would cancel Express vpn and use something else,plenty of better ones available, are you still in your 30 days of being able to cancel?

As with all vpn's you have to keep switching servers as the broadcasters recognize the servers used.

I too had your problem with Express and switched to Nord. Much better!

I use Norton internet security which comes with a VPN, I have had no trouble accessing UK TV abroad.
I get the 5 devices for a year subscription off third party sellers for about £10 year. I use it on our laptops and ipad.
You do have to remember to cancel auto renew as soon as you have subscribed with the new product key though otherwise it’s around £60 per year per device!
