Hi, having done the west coast, Dordogne, Limousin, and the Loire, I am looking to explore the east of France, along with the Ardeche, Auvernge, and Provence; have already done champagne country on a previous trip
Suggestions please as to routes to take, plus particular places to visit, along with those better avoided, would be most welcome.
Got 4-5 weeks for the trip and intend starting with a visit to the Menin gate
Thanks

North East France, Colmar and the Alsace region a great visit. Many half timbered towns and great white wines.

Start at Kaiserslautern and head down to Belfort through the Vosges 👍
