I thought l would grace you all with my version of scrambled eggs.
the yellow is from tumeric the black speckles are chia seeds. I was thinking about the photo and forgot to add in my flax and help seeds at the start. l took the photos last week in Oxford where l have been working.

I scramble my eggs and add the seeds and turmeric
Nuke for 2 mins
Re-mass and add a gloop of helmanns

And eat...

I have had dogs turn down my cooking, Andy cooks Brian did as well. Neither would

eat my cooking willingly although both conceded my stews are ok. So far l have not poisoned myself but have had a few belly aches.

:) Whilst I can't stop laughing at John's post ... ignore him.... They look pretty edible which is more than anything I cook does. Well done you. :)

Ever the diplomat, it is a bit like some of my cooking in that the photograph doesn't reflect quite how it tastes......... ;)

Have you ever tried some cream cheese in your scrambled y'eggs, very nice.

As is wrapping an omelette in a tortilla, I can recommend that too (y)

Sharon as the years go by I never cease to be amazed at what you can do with cream cheese. It is becoming a must-av in fridges nowadays. :)

Unable to eat cream cheese spikes my blood, l am fine on normal cheese and wont touch tortilla as that is bread based and l don't eat bread/pasta/rice/spuds they are all starch and breakdown to glucose and that ups my bg. As a T2 diabetic l am on a low carb high fat eating plan (eat aprox 30g carbs a day) but can see how the cottage cheese would be nice.. have to admit l was never into tortilla though.

I always thought that Tortillas were a protected species.......and not in any way vegetarian. The shells are a bit crunchy as well

Could be wrong, though;)

On and off for many years.
Here is another recipe sent by a friend (I do have some). I would probably only use half the ingredients as I think the original would feed an army! I've not tried it yet but it sounds nice. My friend serves in for breakfast (funny people the Americans) but I would use it as a dessert with cream or ice-cream.

Slow Cooker Bread Pudding

Ingredients:

1 loaf of bread torn into bite sized pieces
1 dozen eggs
4 cups milk
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ginger
2 apples, diced
1 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)

Directions:

Put the bread pieces in the slow cooker

Mix the eggs, milk, vanilla and spices and pour over
bread

Top with apples and walnuts

Cook on low for 8 hours (adjust down for smaller quantity??) The sides of the casserole will be
golden brown and
the eggs should be cooked

Sounds love, Puddle, but eight hours!!!! The reason I hate cooking is that it can take half an hour to cook a meal that takes ten minutes to eat and nothing to show for all my hard work. . . . or maybe just being on my own I can't be bovvered...:(

However, if ever you make it and my van is just next to yours I wouldn't say no.. :)
