Every cloud has a silver lining, football cancelled no match of the day(y):giggle::giggle:. Tourists banned from Italy, all those starving pickpockets:giggle::giggle:. No cruise liners in Southampton, dramatic reduction in air pollution:giggle::giggle:. I’m feeling happier already. As long as they don’t close down all the campsites.

I'm not happy ... we're trying to sell our ex-rental bungalow at Scunthorpe, first then pending Brexit caused lack of interest, then the steel work was under threat but fortunately got a new owner recently so are 'saved', consequently were hoping the market would pick-up now but the virus has totally scuppered the market once again. Seriously peed off...

It'll be very much a case of mixed blessing for everyone.
I can still camp even if the sites close down, caravan folk might not be so lucky, I don't miss bloody football but I will miss the rugby & Formula 1.
Prices of available stuff will almost certainly go up & the economy will certainly be deflated which will cost jobs.
Swings & roundabouts.

A few less caravans about taking up our touring pitches is certainly a plus

Caravan or camper you won't get on the site where we are.......closed to all new arrivals!

I prefer the seesaws ? nothing like a bit of up & down

This is a really selfish thought.

I'm worried about all the MH's usually in Europe coming home and clogging up the roads wildcampinf hideholes and campsites. Reading the threads about Europe being so much better than UK but when the going gets tough ...…….?

Welcome home but please a little space for us newbies who were planning to travel the UK before this virus kicked off.
If you are going to self isolate can you please do it on your driveways. :welcome4: home

I was in West Bay, Dorset yesterday and caravans were streaming into the big ( International ) campsite there. It appears that they were taking up their “ seasonal “ pitches.
On leaving West Bay we looked across to where one can see the camping area and there must have been 50 - 60 caravans parked up.
The Old Station parking area contained about 8 - 10 various camper vans and motor homes. It looks like a lot of people are making the best of it whilst they can.
We did a shop in the Bridport Morrison’s , it was very busy and trying to keep ourselves two metres away from other shoppers was very difficult, there were ‘ piles ‘ of toilet rolls though.
We have now decided that if we are going shopping next week we should go at either 7am or 9pm that could be quieter times.

Do as they likies must be finding things hard, how can they nick stuff if no one's going out? They'll all have to sign on... again.
