We are booked on the 05.50 channel tunnel crossing on Thursday morning heading off down through France and on to Salou in Spain.
Nothing unusual or strange about that I hear you ask
However, we only picked up our brand new motorhome last Thursday and have not slept in it yet or even tried anything on or in it to check it works.
Hence " ever the optimist " title
Should be an interesting trip I think

Photocopy your vehicle documents and keep the originals somewhere safe. Take some shrapnel for the tolls, enjoy the trip!

Make sure you have gas !
If you intend using site get a converter plug from the usual 16 amp jobby to the continental 2 pin thing. A lot of site use the pucka socket now but there are an awful lot around that are still using the old two pin things.

That's nothing!!!! When I converted an ambulance into a camper van we hadn't even used it once, not even for a day out, and our first trip was to Germany! Fortunately everything worked perfectly!

Well guys and girls I am very pleased to say we made it to Spain and back without even one issue with the motorhome. Everything worked perfectly.

Superb weather and fantastic beach

Stopped off at Rocamadour on route home.
