I wonder why some rallies listed in the Scheduled Rallies Forum are not listed in the events calendar, while some are...

I think it's because some organisers haven't realised the need to create an event.

Posting in Scheduled Rallies, even with the Rally prefix, does not create an event (as this thread demonstrates).

From memory (haven't done it for a while), if you start in the calendar & create an event, it does create a linked post in here for the discussion.

If people make the calendar event first then it automatically generates a thread. If people make a rally without making the event first it has to manually placed into the calendar.
