After many years of bobbing around the South Coast, France and the Channel Islands, me and her indoors flogged the boat last year and bought our first motorhome - an Ace Siena. Just in time for a quick couple of weekends away in 2019, an epic European fortnight in France this year just when the UK decided everyone should quarantine (so what should have been France became Italy, Switzerland and Germany) and a couple more weekends in the UK. Joined all the usual clubs etc but have only just found this one to add to the endless fount of knowledge these sites represent. I will be on the forums PDQ with subjects ranging from Floe drainage systems to replacing exploded hob cover glass. Thanks for having me.

Hi and welcome

:hiya2:

Been there with the exploding glass hob. Easy repair. Just two plastic screws and about £100 to buy the replacement. (y)

Welcome to Fun! This is an amazing source of information and a great bunch of people (If you ignore the Welsh on here bleating about how good their Rugby team was in the 70's.....)

Hello and welcome from West Midlands. 👍. I've exploded our hob glass too and had to replace it. 😡

Hi and welcome

Thanks for that and I wasn't phased when the thing exploded (luckily no-one in the van at the time and it's still a mystery how the electric hob got turned on to cause the explosion in the first place) and off I went to search a well known internet market place to look at my options. This turned into an internet wide search that culminated in one potential supplier who was very sorry but couldn't help as apparently my cooker is obsolete and the parts are not available. Still, we have the winter to sort something out :)

I would post the cooker details on here and ask if any one knows where you can obtain a lid. (y)
