Eurotunnel question

    Fresh from introducing myself earlier a question comes to mind please. I have ordered a new van at 4000Kg. I have looked at the Eurotunnel website and it appears to say that Vans plated in excess of 3500Kg are treated as freight.... and freight seems to say that Motorhomes are excluded from their services for Health & Safety reasons.

    I will ring them tomorrow, has anybody looked into this I can't believe I am reading this right?

    Just book as a normal campingcar or camper van you won't be sent as freight

    Don't ring them, motorhomes are camper vans no matter how heavy they are, don't go to freight just stick to cars

    No need to worry. If I remember rightly you just choose 'campervan' when booking. There is no restriction on size or weight when using the tunnel with a motorhome. Our van is 4250kg and we were loaded on behind a coach last time.

    Just book campervan we travelled last week and we're a 5 tonne tag axle.
    Don't worry its simples :)

    As others say, just use the normal booking process and choose "campervan". We're 5.5 tonnes and have come through the tunnel today on the car train, albeit in the high vehicle carriages.
