We have a house in France that we are doing up and now that the work is progressing, we need to start making more trips to the local tip.
I draw the line at loading an old bath into the motorhome, so have decided to take a car over there and leave it to use while we are working on the house. It will be there for a few months at a time. My car insurance covers me for European use 365 days of the year, but I can't find a similar long term breakdown cover. Most places allow you one or two trips up to 90 days, that isn't going to be long enough.
Can anyone recommend a company that does long term annual cover for cars?

Possibly you would be better off using a French company?

Tried ADAC but there doesn't seem to be an English language option, I am sure there used to be

Adac's a German organisation in Germany dealing all day with German speakers - the occasional foreign caller, if non-German-speaking, needs to ask if there is an English speaking colleague they could talk to. They will always oblige. It's not a requirement but they do generally appreciate an apology re not speaking their language ;)
