Checked all my documentation and cannot find anywhere it mentions Euro V. For purpose of getting a Gobox in Austria how can I prove it is a Euro V.

I think it told me what classification my van is.

Or off your vehicle's age:
  • Euro 1 (1993):
    • For passenger cars - 91/441/EEC.[8]
    • Also for passenger cars and light trucks - 93/59/EEC.
  • Euro 2 (1996) for passenger cars - 94/12/EC (& 96/69/EC)
    • For motorcycle - 2002/51/EC (row A)[9] - 2006/120/EC
  • Euro 3 (2000) for any vehicle - 98/69/EC[10]
    • For motorcycle - 2002/51/EC (row B)[9] - 2006/120/EC
  • Euro 4 (2005) for any vehicle - 98/69/EC (& 2002/80/EC)
  • Euro 5 (2008/9) and Euro 6 (2014) for light passenger and commercial vehicles - 715/2007/EC[11]

Thankyou for your reply. I know the vehicle is Euro V as it has the new dash and also was registered new in 2012. I just wanted to know if EURO V was actually on some document I dont have. Perhaps they know by the Vin or Exhaust Emissions as noted on the V5c

The use of a "Go-Box" in Austria will work out to be very expensive. Is your vehicle over 3.5 te?
Do you really need to use the autobahn system?

A "Go-Box" is only necessary if you answer "Yes" to both of the questions.

When we had a heavy (5 te) Hymer we visited Austria several times and easily avoided the autobahn system.

I dont this can be trusted... Fiat Ducato. Euro V did not come out until late 2011.. My van was built December 2011 and there were just starting to come through then..

For info.
I know this thread is about Go box but watch out Ref the LEZ, your gross weight makes a difference..
My 2005 van was plated over 3500kg and did not qualify, however the same base vehicle plated under 3500kg did qualify..

TM59. yes, Euro , Fiats have a black dash, you should also have a Certificate of conformity and the Euro status is listed on there..

Hi

We also have a Euro 5 2012 vehicle but like you I cannot find on any of the documentation we have a confirmation of Euro 5.

We have had since new and I have not lost any documentation.

Those dates are when that spec was introduced, not when the manufacturers introduced them, my Transit which was ordered in July 2011 as a 200ps Euro 4 got cancelled & reordered as a 155ps Euro 5 as the manufacturing changeover date for Ford was around Sept/Oct 2011

The difference, I discovered, is dependent on wether your vehicle is classed HGV or LGV. HGVs were required to be euro V/5 in October 2009, LGVs in January 2012. These are dates of first registration

Yes the vehicle is over 3.5 and yes I want the option to use the autobahn. I know the vehicle is Euro V. I just would like some paperwork to prove it if asked. Vehicle registered new july 2012.

My Rapido 52 part C of C, confirms the Euro classification on line 47, it is Euro5 and it was built on 12/10/2011.
I understand that all CofCs are the same format, (52Part ).
If you do not have the original CofC, you can get a copy from the builder, mine cost 100 euro (dealer paid) and took six weeks to be delivered.
Extracts of my CofC in links below (I hope)

I second this, we are 4.05 tonnes, and elected not to use the motorway system in Austria, negating all the red tape and expense of a go-box.
Austria is a beautiful country, on the back roads you get to see more of it(y)
