Just wondering if anyone knows if I could sell my return ticket leaving on 2nd sept.bought through caravan club.

Not saying it's impossible, but with registration details and passport details held against the ticket I would think it would be very very difficult. Speak to them, it should be able to alter the travel date by up to a year from date of purchase.

Don't know how cc affects it , but should be able to move the dates if it's a normal ticket, if you are not going to use it on the date given I would ring them and see what they say and move it at least to give yourself more time to sort out how to sell it on.
Don't just leave it till it's to late or you won't get anything.

Thanks, will give them a call when I can get through and see what they say.

You can move the ticket up to 12 months ahead. then change it for when you need it.
We have a cheap 24 hour crossing booked to visit our dealer I've already changed it 3 times.

wish I'd never booked through caravan club, they charge for changing, Tunnel does not charge, only if price is different.

changed tickets to May, still not sure if we want to go, cannot change them again as 12 month will be up, is it possible to sell them on, does anyone know if this is possible.

I've just changed my tunnel return by a month with CMC and no charge the guy did it while I was on line chat brilliant service.

I think as I booked it through camc then it has to be done by them, they seem to be sticking to 12 month only and if not used then you lose money paid. neither are contactable today so will try Monday.

I emailed the tunnel on Thursday re extending my 12 month frequent traveller. The replied on Friday and extended it until 2022, result!!

Big thumbs up for Eurotunnel, they sometimes get bad press, so let's recognise their good bits as well !

I don't have a frequent traveller ticket, but will not use camc again book tickets, they just don't want to know, I only want to extend it not cancel it, they are so stuck in their ways and do not seem to realise how hard it is to travel at the moment, they just want your money, id rather not be in a club at all but they have a few sites which we do use, but.......

Honestly can't see why they are like this about this, as if they have booked with the tunnel surely they can contact the tunnel and get it moved just as a any one else can.

That's exactly want they did for me about two weeks ago.Cant understand the issue .

I don't see why this is a problem either but they say it is a 12 month ticket only and there sticking to it, but will try them again tomorrow and see what they say. last year they gave me a provisional booking mid December (when no one was going anywhere anyway) and had to move it but had to use it by mid June when 12 month since I booked it was up. Apparently it run only from when first booked for 12 months.

GOOD NEWS - Eurotunnel have relaxed their rules, a little, I have been able to re book through CAMC for September, no charge, only price difference of £4.00, yeah, we may go yet, staying very safe at moment.

Hi - when was your frequent traveller due to expire? Just wondering if its too early to request an extension on ours

Thanks

Just contacted the Tunnel as we are booked for 17th Jan and because the ticket expires this month we could not move it online.
It was explained on the phone call that it expires this month ( we have moved it 3 times, f.o.c. since booking early last January ), but as we originally booked before the covid started they are able to give us a voucher equivalent to the original price paid ( £60 ).
Think that's more than fair.
Thanks Eurotunnel :giggle:

We are booked on a 'Romantic Road' tour through Germany starting in the Netherlands on 7th June and finishing at Fussen so once the voucher arrives we look to book another tunnel crossing around 5th/6th June. Fingers crossed !

end of March this year, i think they extended it by 12 months from the expiry date - we had four journeys left out of a total of ten we originally booked

Well done on refund. Euro tunnel are being quite fair at the moment, but remember it can change. Enjoy Germany. We went in 2019, was going again last year, but that all went to pot.

For what it's worth we've given up on making bookings through either Club at the moment, and are only booking the 'flexible standard' tickets direct with Eurotunnel. They're more expensive, but cheaper in the long run if you have to cancel. Which we have done, twice , and had our money back within a day or two.
