We are setting off for sunny Spain on Saturday via the tunnel and wonder if any Funsters have experienced any Problem with search's, documents and the such like. If there are anyone in Calpe give me a shout.(y)

No problems at all we crossed on 27th Sept. Spent a week in France then on to Spain.

where in Calpe are you looking at we are planning on visiting next year
We use Camping Paraiso, it has a good situation near to town and Supermarkets and better laid out than the Mediterrano site but thats OK.
There are 2 Camping Sol aire'e but these are marked closed on web site

We've stayed on Camping Austral and really liked it, very central with the beach approx 250 yds away. Lidl supermarket is literally across the road behind the site, the site itself was immaculately clean and I mean they even had a bloke who's job it was to sweep the road by hand sweeping all the gravel off the road back onto the pitches.

They were building a medium height either hotel or flats just to the side of the site across the roundabout but that was winter 2018/19 so I bet that's finished now, nice little bar restaurant and lovely small pool with grassed area for sunbathing.

Big pitches as well we were on, lovely clean small size stone, toilets were spotless and the free wifi the best we've ever had on a campsite so streaming was no issue whatsoever.

We will def go again and maybe will do soon depending on what my consultant says ;)

Absolutely agree, l would just add if you are staying on a Friday night the Market starts setting up at about 4.30am on the road behind the rear boundary of the site and they do clatter about a bit. If your a light sleeper park in the middle.

I am a light sleeper l can hear a fly land, l sleep through about once a year and as I’ve got older 7 hours maximums enough.
When we were there l heard the clanking and thought it was someone taking their Awning down for an early start and shouted out of the window Quiet,Silencio it’s only 4.30,l felt an idiot when the day broke and l realised it was the Market.
