Well, after the interruption to our first attempt at a foreign tour, June, Junior, Bitch Oscar (yes, another one...) and I are off to La Belle France in a weeks time and intend to roam around it for a bit before returning to the UK in time to attend the Sealed Knot August Bank Holiday Muster at Belvoir Castle.
We decided to stay an extra 2 weeks or so back over here as there is another SK event this coming weekend at Bishop's Hull (Taunton) which is a) only 4 miles from where we are staying, and b) organised by a good friend of ours.
Whilst abroad, we will DEFINATELY be in Bavaria at the end of July for a celebration held every 4 years by the town of Memmingen commemorating the garrisoning of the town during the 30 years war in the 17th century. If you happen to be near Memmingen - GO SEE IT between 27th July and 3rd August - it's an absolute spectacle! A couple of web-sites are here:-
