Morning all,

I've had a quick flick through some posts, but can't find my answer so I apologise if this has been asked several times before:

Do they accept the Euro in Croatia? I've read conflicting information, and wondered if any recent visitors could tell me please?

Thanks,

That's what I thought, although the acsi guide says that euros are widely accepted! Any ideas where I can change some euros up?

There are roadside places on the way into Croatia that exchange euros for kuna. Not sure what their rates are though as we got ours in uk.

They will take euro but usually give a poor rate so use kuna instead. Roadside cabins do offer exchange but you'll do better using the right card at a bank, not a ATM at a campsite. Revolut card for me.

It's hit and miss, small shops etc all want Kuna, but sites will take Euros. The big issue is that many places including a lot of sites only take cash, no cards. The big group sites are mostly cards or cash so no problem. A lot of restaurants are cash too. It's because the banks visa and MasterCard charges are 6 %. This was explained by the family who own camping Bor on Krk. They have 300 pitches.
So cash is king. We were on a small 10 pitch site and she let me do my own conversion to Euro based on an app.
Nice country and people.
