Hi,
is anyone knowledgeable on any restrictions of carriage of dry pet food into EU? Orijen brand in my doggies case. Will be difficult to source it in France, I think. If it is restricted. I don’t fancy smuggling it.

There is a weight limit on dry food, but there are a few large pet food stores not to far from the French Eurotunnel... our cat requires special food for a kidney problem, but there are large outlets that sell the correct food.

Do a search on Google Maps... (found a link) http://www.animal-factory.com/magasins.html also https://www.maxizoo.fr/

Ours are happy on vegan dog food, no problem taking to EU.

TBH I can't believe that the Customs staff will be scrutinising the lists of greedyments for all food on board. Even if they understood the labels the queues would stretch all the way back to Will's mother's.

The woman over the road feeds her cat on vegan cat food, you should see it round at ours tucking into a bowl of Whiskas ! :p
Or killing birds and mice and eating them..BUSBY.

We fed our pooch on dry food from France a couple of years ago, we didn't realise that it would make him hyper ... So just be careful and check ingredients. I'm more than sure that there are just as many alternatives in the EU as there are in the UK.

If the whole country went VEGAN the only animals we would see would be dogs, cats birds and insects and the countryside would virtually die.BUSBY.

Anything to do with vegan I steer well clear . 😂 a strange bunch . Nearly a religion

Not sure if I consider cows and sheep to be wildlife...

Can't read where I put wildlife,,I said animals,,,BUSBY.
But birds and insects (plus some other fuzzy mammals) are most of the animals in the countryside. If they are still there, would it be dead?

Birds that eat carrion would struggle,,many insects rely on animal droppings for food and if cows sheep etc don't graze our countryside it would soon be severely overgrown...BUSBY
