Our surname is Hay if that helps, I wont give you the other surnames as they may want to keep in ingognito

I see you posted tide times earlier and Friday night is High at 8.00pm although it can be cut off before that time, I think 2 hours either way, although not high, high tide due but can change to weather conditions. Maybe if early arrivals can give out their number so that later people can check access. I dont think it will be a problem, but forewarned is best.

For those coming after work, dont arrive too late ( youll hit the wrong sort of drink) if you get my drift.

Could you put us down as 2 for the hog roast.

We won't be dressing up for the fancy dress and I suspect it will be very crowded in the club house.

I seem to remember the lady at Walgraves said the swimming pool will be closed - but check with site. I wouldn't fancy swimming at Mersea Island - its mostly mud !!

Only been to that area once, but have friends who go regularly.

It can be a pain, but the tide chart shows that there is a small chance of it being closed, but it depends on the weather conditions. Two hours either side of high tide.

There was an earlier poster on the thread who said they were stuck for a few hours before they could cross.

If you want I will pm you my mobile and I will check when we cross, or subsequent arrivals.

I dont think it will be too much of a problem, but forewarned for those arriving later.

It is basically roast pork in a roll with potato salad and other accompaniments

Waldegraves would like to know how many funsters will want the Hog Roast so that they can cater for everyone.
