By popular demand, I'm going to arrange another meet

Having got our 'feet under the table' at the site and local pub here goes!

Venue - http://www.grangefarmcampsite.co.uk/ Thorpe-le-Soken, North Essex.
£15 per unit per night inc EHU. Showers and toilets available (50p coin for shower)
Some hadstanding if neccesary, but the field is large, firm and well drained.
10 minute walk to town and station with access to Clacton/Frinton/Walton/London etc.
Dogs welcome.

The 'theme' will be the Saturday evening Gourmet experience at the Olive Branch Bistro, attached to The Bell pub. Chef Paul is a very experienced gourmet chef (NOT pub grub!) and has worked with may top chefs in well known restaurants, and was head chef for a 150 head sit down hosted by Maggie Thatcher in the past! He is 100% confident that we will all be able to dine together at the same time He is very proud of what he does, and does everything 100%.
The restaurant has 28 covers - so that is the limit for this meet - singles and couples, but no more than 28 souls.

If you read the reviews - you'll understand how good this place is. Not cheap - but you get what you pay for, and this is a 'gourmet' meet

There is the current menu and prices on the website, but some dishes may change (either seasonal availability, local ingredients, and the Chef's whim!) Price is £24.95 for a 3 course meal. Chef did also say he would be able to design a bespoke menu for us for that night if that is a popular idea

If there is sufficient interest - I will book the entire restaurant for us for the Saturday night 29th November 2014.

It will be a 'low key' meet (similar to Sandy if you came there) with no 'agenda' apart from a commitment to attend the meal on the Saturday.
There are other pubs in the town, local shops, Tesco express, and a Social Club with ridiculously cheap booze, pool table and dart boards etc! Maybe good for a cheap night out on the Friday!

Names below (usual format!) please - and add how many you are!

I would ask that if you put your name down - its a definate - as I can't book the entire restaurant and then let Chef down at the last minute, I'm sure you understand!

I'll take a trusted risk and won't ask for deposits, but please only add your name if you definately want to come!

Would love to attend Dave, we really enjoyed the Sandy meet earlier this year, unfortunately we hope to be long gone by then, and in Benidorm for the rest of the year.
I'm sure this will be a fantastic meet, but we can't delay our departure for the sun and cheap booze.

OK - have had sufficient interest to now move this thread to the Confirmed Rally thread - so it will definately go ahead.
Ive spoken to Chef Paul just now - and booked the whole restaurant for 28 - 7.30 for 8 pm dinner on the Saturday night.

If we don't get to the whole 28 - I will let him know nearer the time so he can at least allow the other tables to be booked - so I will close bookings on this meet 2 weeks before with whatever number we have
