ocassional when going up a steep hill a warning buzzer indicates an empty LPG tank, this normally corrects itself and I can switch back to running on gas. However after going up severe steep hills the controller is now perminately showing an empty LPG tank making it impossible to switch over from petrol to LPG. I know I have a full tank. Any suggestions to the cause?

Years ago I had this problem on my landrover and it turned out I needed new tank valves.

The system will have a pressure sensor to tell the controller that there is sufficient pressure to run the system.

Sounds like you have a sensor that has failed or more likely one of the wires has corroded and broken off it.

The sensor is usually on the vapouriser.

Could be the sensor as said or could be the solenoid valve that controls the switch over, has gone

You need a professional LPG fitter to check it over.

I only get switched back to petrol when i have ran out of gas.....hills have no effect, as they shouldnt.
