Having cured the water ingress from the windscreen into the engine bay then on to the engine top with some P profile rubber strip between the screen and the scuttle and sikaflex I am still getting water in via the air intake oblong rubber directly above the engine. Tried all sorts. Cleaned it, repositioned it, smeared silicon grease on the face and the clipping on strip to no avail. I have been going round in circles trying to locate the engine cover for the 130 multi jet. Loads of posts on different forums with the same issue.
Any help or suppliers appreciated.

Its not important and designed to be like that, although the plastic box should have a seal around it to stop it overflowing onto the gearbox etc.
The water is supposed to drop down to the bottom of the air intake box and out the holes in the bottom.
Never block the bonnet cover you needs fresh air into the van

The vehicle is a LHD so the water trickles on to the engine top. I understand the water that leaks into the air intake has a drain at the back. I am trying to stop the water leakage between the air intake seal to the engine bonnet when it is closed. Poor engineering design. I may have to purchase that 3D print design in the classifieds which is basically a water tray you fit under the air intake. MY preference would of been an engine cover but alas there doesn't seem to be one.

If it's water access in through the grills on the bonnet we've nigh on eradicated this by fitting a set of magnetic bonnet grill covers that wiljoy Wilf makes up Broken Link Removed.
Whilst they are not watertight we have found that two pieces of cling film covering the grills and held on by these does work quite effectively. Obviously, they can only be used when parked up. A photo but excluding the cling film.

In addition, we've got an old set of longline Taylormade screen covers we put on in storage that also cover the grills.

Neil n Pat I bought and use a pair of these that wiljoy is selling in the classifieds section.

I also bought and fitted the Scuttle Drain Kit made by and sold in the classifieds section by PaulandChrissy

Paul also makes an bonnet air vent deflector which may also cure your problem.

As you can probably see, we are in Spain till the end of Feb. But I can make you up a drain tray when we get back. Just let me know if you would like one, and I will make a note to get back to you when we return.
Stay Safe everyone. PaulandChrissy

Thankyou for all the feedback. Regarding the vent covers when parked I used a plastic sheet held down with strip magnets. I now use a paint roller tray sat under the air vent lip in the engine bay with a aid memoire sat on the driving wheel to remove before starting up. The scuttle window interface is now definitely cured with no water sat on the top ledge of the air intake box. I also changed the engine to bonnet strip as the original had become deformed. This combined with the P41 profile is a very good result. For those with the same issues just gently run a stanley knife blade between the glass and the existing facia rubber then insert the nozzle of the sikaflex and squeeze some in the full length of the window. After this insert the P41 profile rubber which slides in easily. Let dry thoroughly keeping it dry of course. Once dried mask off the window along the top edge of the P41 profile then run a another seam of sikaflex . Then finally do the same along the lower edge of the profile.
The attached pictures details all including the rubber seal details. Hope this is helpful. Why there isn't an engine cover for 130 multijet is perplexing.
