    Hi
    I have an 04 Ducato 2.8JTD Burstner 615
Can you charge the engine battery from hook-up without using a separate battery charger?

If you have an Ebox electrical panel like on our 05 Burstner T 680, it will give a low trickle charge to the vehicle battery.

Seems to vary from vehicle to vehicle - on my handover I was told it wouldn't but fiddling around later I found that switching to vehicle battery when on hookup charged the vehicle battery. Not familiar with your system but it might be there.
