How do you fasten the fan in the roof light as I am sure someone once said on fun that they used it this way sometimes. It would be useful to be able to pop it there overnight. All I can think of is various bungees. Any better idea welcomed.
Cheers
Bernie :)

Screw a piece of right angle plastic down each side, I cut mine out of 3 inch trunking. Then when it's in, make a mark on the trunking where the edge of the skylight is and screw a little rectangular piece of plastic there to lock it in. Kind of hard to explain so I'll try and upload the pic again...

To remove, lift slightly and move to the side and it pops straight down. I fitted a figure of 8 plug & socket to make it easier, the cable then tucks in the cupboard.

Thanks Richard. I will use your idea. Wish ours had controls on the front and not on the edge.
Thanks Again

It was only 20 Euro as well, disadvantage is though it's 230v only and uses 4 amps through the inverter... I'm working on a new one using DC axial fans for September

We have a couple of these 12v fans. two speed with on and off control in the middle of the fan. One for the cab and one in the bedroom. Worked really well in Spain.

Amazon product ASIN B000N9TI2E
Only available in Black in Uk which is why I bought them from Amazon.Com

It might have been me. My Endless Breeze fits into the bedroom roof light with no alterations or straps required.

There's a bit more about it, and some other pictures, on this thread: https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/threads/endless-breeze-fan-12v-vgc-Ā£50.135097/

I did have a plan for version 2.0 that involves slinging it on brackets below the roof light which would let me close the fly screen. Like most of my ideas I haven't got around to looking at it yet though.

Been around the block a few timesšŸ˜‰
We fitted small 12v remote switch inside the endless breeze casing which allows us to switch the fan on/off & adjust the speed whilst driving.

Pleased to see you actually got yours, we ordered one and paid for it back in May, still waiting! twice we have chased it, and twice they have extended the shipping dates.
Going into europe early next week and am feeling rather anxious now, its our dog thats going to suffer if we are not on ehu to use the aircon, so getting rather desperate fopr this 12v to arrive.

I have an endless breeze fan. It is invaluable on hot days like today.

......or it would be if it wasn't in the garage at home  idiot

Had a look on the motorcaravanning.co.uk who we ordered ours from and there was an update on there a few days ago saying they had now been received and were being sent out in the order in which the orders were received over the next few days so hopefully should be with you shortly if you ordered yours from them.

If you did order from them might be worth contacting and saying you need it sent out now as you're off on your travels next week - certainly worth a try.

We saw that they were being advertised but did not know delivery date. I then checked Amazon USA and ordered it direct with international delivery including U.K. Import tax for $86. Joined Prine 30 day trial and I got it in 7 days saved about Ā£25 on uk price. Then cancelled Amazon Prime. Hope this helps others. Yes it also fits snugly above our bed in the fan light hole. Just need to wire in a 12v supply into a locker

We had one but it didn't get used (not hot enough!) so sold it to another funster ... might regret that decision when we go to Italy in August!

On 3rd van so not a total newbie....
Can I just ask, are these set up to extract hot air, or blow in air from above?

It's up to you. They are simply a 12v powered three speed fan. By its size, in my case I can put it within my bedroom area roof vent either drawing air from the outside turning it around to act as an extractor or if the roof vent is closed to circulate the air around.
