Yesterday we changed our Frankia for a Dethleffs. We had the Frankia from new and we were very sad to see it go. It has served us well on our travels but we felt that it was inevitable that at some stage in the future we would change. However when we went for lunch to Newstead Abbey we didn't think it was going to be that day. We just popped down the road to Lowdhams and spotted the Dethleffs and by the following afternoon the lunch had proved very expensive. We have been motorhoming for 17 years and this will only be our third van, so for us it must have impressed. Having said that we must know what we like because we bought our Frankia almost on the spot and we kept it 13 years. Now we can't wait to get away and start a new chapter with our new van. If it's as good as the Frankia we won't have any complaints.

It's FIVE stages of grief LOL - had em all when we swapped ours!

But of course - you will enjoy the new one even though it's not the same and you'll find as many better things as you will worse!
