When someone sends starts a conversation with you, we send you an email and let you know. If you do not want to recieve these emails you need to uncheck a box. See the following screenshots

I was going to ask why anyone would not want to receive a notification but then wondered what happens if someone you have set to ignore tried to start a conversation. Are they automatically excluded by default?

I asked that a while ago and didn't get an answer.

Perhaps that is because who I asked was ignoring me.
