Just started!
We've owned our van a 22 year old Lunar Roadstar 720 for 12 months and the fridge works fine on gas but not on mains. I haven't really tried 12v as this draws a tot of current and gas is probably more efficient.

This is the fridge:

So, the van is presently on 'hook-up' outside the house. The plug that supplies 240v to the fridge is live and the gas is turned off. When I switch the fridge on by depressing the on/off button the AES LED illuminates green and there are two 'clunk' sounds followed by the AES LED turning red. This video shows the process and only one 'clunk' as I didn't want to bore you :)

At this point I'm stuck and have to revert to gas!

Would be nice to get it working on mains electric/hook-up as I could stock-up the fridge while outside the house on hook-up.

Any ideas?

Thanks
John

Never seen that control panel before but the red light would indicate a fault condition. Possibly the 240v heating element has failed. You could check the resistance of it with a meter should be about 200 ohms.

StitchUp The flashing red AES light indicates that it is trying to start on gas but has not found a gas supply, It is doing this because the AES has found 240v is either not present ,or is ,but with reduced voltage. (the controls are 12v operated)
If all 240v supplies into the fridge are ok there are 2 x fuses on the power circuit board 1 x 3a / 250v and 1 x 8a/32v that may need checking

Thanks so much for the info guys, I'll wait my return from Malvern before I start investigating further as I need to keep beer cool for the few days :)
PS Is the power circuit board accessible from the external white panels or is it a fridge out job?

StitchUp I have not done it but it is said to be easy and is described - Disconnect power and batteries -Remove 2 poziscrews and lift away the control panel ,let it hang on the wires - Remove 2 x more screws and slide out a metal tray- The PCB is secured to the tray with 3 x screws.-- I do not know if this is correct but it is in the information I have and hopefully should be correct
