It looks like the shear pin has failed on the Project 2000 step on my motorhome. The motor and switches are working and the step can be raised and lowered by hand. Does anyone know how to access the motor and where I can get a replacement shear pin? Thanks.

Mike, do you know what size the shear pin is?

No Dave, it looks like I'll have to remove the whole step assembly in order to get to the motor and then the shear pin or I may be able to get at the motor by removing the wheel.

Have you managed to access the motor and coupling yet? I'm trying to avoid removing the whole step. Thanks for the heads up on Southdowns, I've sent an enquiry.

No still away in mine will tackle it when I'm home and have pins to hand

Managed to strip mine today, its a sheared double spring roll pin, 5mm x 28 and 3mm x 28, one fits inside the other. Managed to get some on ebay so just waiting on the postman now. Will clear all the muck and rubbish out while I'm waiting. Didn't need to remove the step.
