Can anyone help me out please since I was never much good at physics/maths! Ok so I'm on the campsite on the Alps with a 6amp supply. Can I plug in the 500w oil heater or will it trip? The only other things on are the low wattage fridge and a few LED lights. Is there an equation I can use to work it out.
Thanks in advance.

Oil heater will use 2.17amps plus your 12v charger demand.
LED lights are 12v and run the fridge on gas.

to convert watts to amps.....watts / 230v = amps

Your a star Pappajohn! The heating will be going on ❤️. Do you think we need to run the fridge on gas? It's a standard 3 foot high under worktop one but I have no data for it -it's already cold.

The diesel is very noisy whilst sleeping and we have 6amp so thought we'd use it if we can. We also need to leave low heat during the day since it's -10 degrees tomorrow.

A fridge element is about 220 watts, which as @pappajohn showed is 220/230 amps, that is just a shade less than one amp. The fridge thermostat will turn it on and off, so it won't be on all the time.
