Can anyone, from personal purchase experience, recommend a (small & lightweight) electric heater, for when we are in the van on electric hook up, thanks

Oil filled rad worked fine in our folding camper, if you have the room for one.

Same opinion as Clivefog and I'm leaning towards this type now, I'd sort of ruled them out, due to weight. However, yes maybe a bit heavier, but it's a lot safer, thanks

The electric one I recommended above has an immediate shut off if it falls over. Can also set to different temperatures.

That said, I suppose oil filled is a lot safer, so it's a maybe, thanks
They also give out a more even heat. Fan heaters are good for instant heat but when they get up to temp and cut off the van seams to cool again quickly so the fan is on and off all the time. Whatever you get make sure it has enough oomph (watts) 2000 at least if you ever want to get a cold van warmed up.

Our 500w fan heater is small enough to leave on continuously, you don't wake up at 3am sweltered 😂 that's just 2 amps too 🤩

Likewise use very similar mini oil rads for the boat when plugged in at the marina. Saves annnoying neighbours with the Eberspacher (which is simply superb.)
Silent in use once heated up and very efficient. Will take one with me in the PVC should it ever arrive! Do have a fan blower as well which heats volume very quickly but one could not live with it's noise overnight as it cuts in and out. Mini oil rads work and are very discreet.

We have a simple cheap 2 kw fan heater from Home Bargains. It's not loud so can leave it on all night. You can choose 1 or 2 kw depending on the EHU supply.

Word of caution, if I may,
IMO stay away from cheapo oil filled heaters.. the 3 we have had in the past did not take long to start leaking oil.
Have a delongi in house now for a number of years. No leaks!.

We bought one of these type of heaters, very small and lightweight. It can stand upright or flat and it’s really effective. Also has a thermostat so can be left on low all night if needed. Highly recommend!

<Broken link removed> I have one of these no oil so leaks I was told about these by another funster
Also fitted one of these below which is enough to take the bite off (though I would run it all winter but changed my mind ) it is secured overhead near the whooshbag door

Eco Chico. Oil free, good thermostat. Very easy to move around. Good build quality.

We also use an oil filled radiator and place it near to the cab area. It performs excellent, and you don't get the noise you would have with a fan heater.

We too have a Pro Breeze - it’s brilliant and rarely needs to be turned to the high setting. Very efficient, fast to heat up MH, very light and exceptionally well made. So much better than the on-board Truma Heater. Safety feature good too.

Are you able to say if the thermostat is quiet, read a review and someone said its noisy and not conducive to a good nights sleep.
