I am sure this has been discussed before but I am looking for an electric BBQ/ table top grill for use sur le continent. Can anyone recommend a suitable device please. Preferably one that doesn't draw Hadron collider amounts of amps. Thanks a lot

cant recomend hightly enough, I bought mine two years ago and cook all sorts on it, I bought 6 last year for gifts and every body who got one though it was great, Im getting another on thusday as mines getting worn out.

Just checked the power consumption on ours and it's 2000 watts.

Just under 9 amps so too high for many european campsites.
Many only supply 6 amp hookups.

Let's get this straight once and for all !!

It's not an effin BBQ, It's an outdoor electric stove/oven !!!:doh::doh::doh:
I dont think any electric cooker could really be classed as a bbq , but it does do great bacon, bangers steaks fish veg, potateos, I cooked a sunday dinner on mine a few weeks back.
