I have just sent my Elecsol battery back under warrenty and been told by my supplier who buys directly of them that they have gone bump. So my 5 year warrenty lasted 2 years. So don't buy one or if you have one I hope it does not go wrong.

There have been rumours of their demise since at least 2008 and they have never been proven to be correct.

Can't find anything online about them going bump...

45 +years with breaks
Thereis plenty on line to read about duff warranties too
Alegations suggest it is a very poor company to deal with and that warranties are almost impossible to get honoured
The company image of a large manf and research establishment also appear false as its also alleged to be a small lock up type business and his website pics are infact unrelated:RollEyes:

We had a lot of problems in 2011 with them, we finally got them to honour their warranty, only to be supplied with batteries that didnt work..

When returned again they had moved premises but not told their supplier, and didnt pick up our ones from the courier or allow them to be delivered. In the end we got our money back via our supplier and let them deal with it.

I wouldnt be suprised if they were not about anymore as they have been getting lots of bad feedback over the last couple of years. No good having a five year warranty if its not honoured. They were offering 7 years on some of their gel batteries too.

Oh dear, I have a bank of six on my boat, put them on as it was the last of our stock when we stopped dealing with them.

Would recommend Banner batteries as replacements.

your warranty is with the seller Not the manufacturer I think, if they have failed does it matter if the manufacturer has gone? is your contract with the seller?:Eeek:

Of course the 115AH elecsols that I have inherited with the van when I bought it are not what I would have bought myself in the first place. Considering the huge price, the equivalent is only £69.50 delivered to your door and at this price you can throw them away every couple of years and still be ahead :thumb:

My batteries are spaced out so that my redundant connection posts share the weight of a shelf for light weght storage

7 years campers before that
you can crimp big crimps in a vice just flatten slightly then put a nail or similar against it before squeezing it saves buying the tool to do one or two joints

One or two are just as important as one or two thousand. I don't condone that method. Applying equal pressure to 6 sides at once wasn't designed for nothing. I don't like indent crimpers of any type

It would not surprise me if this chassis is used for milk float conversions too :roflmto:

BTW the space between batteries 2 and 3 now stores a spare surflow water pump, perfect fit in it's box :)

I have two Alphalines purchased from the same ebay seller. I would also recommend them.:thumb:
They have and still are performing well. We are frequently off grid....

2 x 88 AH managed to fit into my battery locker space where previously I had only one x 85AH which was almost twice the size of one Alphaline.

The pair cost £100.95 including P&P. Can't go wrong at that price.
