have just taken possession of an elders 175 prestige motorhome. In the manual it says that the mains hookup will charge the motorhome leisure battery when fitted and also the 12v systems in the motorhome. However there are 3 positions on the panel. Aux, o, veh. Obviously veh is the main battery and aux is leisure. However to get the 12 v lights to work I need to set to aux. is this correct or should I be able to set to o when connected to 250v. My concern is that if I didn't have a leisure battery how would the 12v lights work with a mains connection?

We have a 2006 Autoquest just leave the switch on AUX and everything should be OK as long as you have the power switch on at the fuse box. fun!!! fun!!! fun!!!

Thanks Tick, having been confused with the manual, no change there, I decided to disconnect the leisure battery an plug in the mains. In the words of a greater being than me "let there be light". and so it was, as long as the AUX switch is thrown.

Hi, In my 2011 Autoquest 100 the Aux-Off-Veh is used to switch the habitation 12v to run on the vehicle battery if your leisure battery goes flat. mine is usually kept on Aux although I do put to the middle off position if I want to turn everything off
