Elddis Magnum GT 185
Hello I have just joined this group and we will be new motorhomies, we are looking forward to the delivery of our new motorhome anytime now, I have just purchased a 2010 Citroen C1 fully fitted with a fully functional braked A Frame unit, although we have been caravans for over 20 years.
Has any body got advice on what to look for in the way of problems with Elddis motorhomes, as well as the best cover to use to protect my new van from the elements as it will be stored outside?

Winter covers can cause more problems than they solve with trapped condensation and bodywork scratching by the cover flapping in the wind.
Your motorhome is designed to be outdoors so it should be fine.
As for driving, I don't think manufacturers recommend running in any longer and I'm sure white van man doesn't bother in his delivery van. Many of those go around the clock a few times.
But if it makes you feel better, just keep the revs down for a few thousand miles and not labour up hills.
Many swear by annual oil and filter change irrespective of what the book says.
But mostly just get out and enjoy your new toy 👍

Might be worth checking fluid levels before setting off ?
Just been reading the other thread where a new Fiat engine blew up after one hours use ☹️
But that is a freak occurrence, you shouldn't worry about that.
No special treatment needed, just enjoy your new motorhome.
