As per title. The elbow on the cold supply to the hand basin is dripping when the tap is in the off position with the pop switched on (system under pressure)
We had the same issue with the hot water supply, which was picked up be the technician at Camper UK when we took it back for its annual habitation and damp checks about 5 weeks ago. Whilst a relatively easy job to replace I got them to do it (the white elbow). I don’t particularly want to travel back to Lincoln, if I’m able to source the part via internet.
Any ideas were I can purchase the elbow, please. See images below.
Just in case they’re unique to our brand of MH (though I wouldn’t think so) it an Adria Matrix 2019.
Thanks in advance.

Same with ours. Plenty on internet and at any half decent caravan or motorhome sales outlet. Easy to replace, just do a quick search on you-tube.
👍

DerryW also when you have the old leaking 90 degree connection off have a look inside the pipe and make sure inserts were used , if not I'd suggest also installing them.

Bart Just checked. no inserts on either of the pipes. Also, on one of the ends of the elbow there is a grey clip which looks like an horse shoe. see image below, do you know what is this for.

Thanks.

That is to stop the pipe being disconnected accidently. With the clip in place you can't push the white collar in to release the pipe. There should be one at each end.

Thanks Lenny. Only the one on the faulty elbow and none on the new white one. Just ordered new elbow and inserts from John Guest via ebay.

Highly unlikely the elbow is faulty. Having installed several thousand and most are used daily i have only ever had a few that failed although it can happen.

99% of the time it’s due to poor installation which is often a poorly cut pipe, bad angle or most often crushed and then the seal on the push-fit can’t do it’s job on an oval pipe.

When you repair it just make sure to cut it cleanly, squarely and avoid any crush 👍🏻

PS: bet the existing one works😉

PS the inserts are rarely needed if you cut the pipe correctly…. And the locking clips are just a PIA and i never fit them. The inserts also reduce flow which is something I’m always trying to avoid.

Thanks Ridgeway.

Now that I've ordered the new bits I might as well wait until they arrive and fit them. But thanks for the tips. PS. In the meantime, if I get board I might just take a look at the ends of the pipe just to make sure they are cleanly cut.

As Ridgeway says but also check that the pipe does not have score mark's on the outside.
Had to cut a couple of inches off and patch in new pipe using a straight connector.

The only manufacturer of fittings I know of that doesn’t require inserts is John Guest and that is only if you use their pipe
Your pic is not a JG fitting so I would suggest using a insert.

Yes it’s certainly necessary to use inserts with compression fittings an absolute must , it also helps with the insertion! Ooh err missus (y) :giggle:

Someone should tell Ardia that. I have now had three failures from new on our Adria Matrix.

I don’t know why but there are lots of reports of these Reich fittings leaking on Adrias. Ours has been ok so far, but I have bought a selection of John Guest fittings to keep just in case. I wonder was there a faulty batch of them?

Our adria leaks also 3 now in 10 weeks, easy to obtain and replace just a pita when you're away. Changed a t piece for a whale version appears a better quality but time will tell

One that failed on ours was due to the outer side of the pipe being scored. Also, most of the pipe runs are either unsupported or not secured. They must rattle around all over the place when we are travelling and that must put stress on the joints. Perhaps they need to look at the quality of the workmanship, and quality control in general.

It’s often poor tolerance between the pipe and the fitting. Also poor cutting of the pipe causes an issue.

I always mic up any pipe I buy and check I get a good fit into the joint. Worth buying a pipe cutter (for plastic pipe) as it will always give a nice clean cut, just make sure it’s square😜

You haven’t seen the groups particular to Adrias. These Reich fitting are notorious for leaks. I’ve had 5 fail on mine.
