2010?
Bailey 625 - on EHU,
All working
Then - battery lights and pump cut out
Checked all fuses all ok . So disconnected EHU, pumps and lights all working now but then reconnected electric and all failed again so then put trips on electric box one at a time and found that the battery charger tripped everything again?
So without charger trip on it’s all working but obviously this isent charging our battery
Any ideas please

I’m only guessing, but have you checked you fuses as sounds like you have your EHU one gone?

Sounds like the charger/distribution unit is turning off the 12v distribution when connected to mains. It's a Brit van so could be the relay that turns off the electrics when the engine is running. If it is that it should be easy enough to bypass the relay it's not needed anyway.

Thanks
Unsure where or how to bypass relay ?
Any thoughts thanks

Probably inside the distribution unit you would need someone technical to do it. Sorry I tend to say what I would do as I was electronics by trade.

If it is the RCD within your vans distribution box the most likely problem is that the charger has failed. No fault of any sort on the relay that's been mention will cause an RCD to trip. You haven't actually said what is tripping so if it is only the 12v then the relay is a potential culprit.

Thanks for replies
It doesn’t trip the RCD, it turns off the master switch on the control panel which controls the lights n pump
But if we manually turn off the rcd to the charger we can reset the master switch and everything is ok except no charge to the battery because it’s been manually turned off
Looks like we need repair man 🤦‍♀️

yes, the charger has failed. Pulling the battery voltage low so the control panel cuts the power. Have you got solar? as this will help keep it topped up. A temporary fix is leave the trip off and use an external battery charger to charge the leisure battery

Thanks
Yes what we’re doing is leaving the charger off during day and putting it on at nite to recharge batter when we don’t need the lights or pump on
Thanks nothing we can do here then
