We are newbies!!
Afternoon All,

I have had a vibration on my van, and found out today it was down to the EGR solenoid valve that is suspension mounted to the top of the engine bay. The rubber bushes that hold the bolts to the bracket have perished, and therefore the unit is vibrating on the metal plate. Could somebody point me in the direction of where to buy new bushes? The bolts look like 4mm, And the bushes are approx 50mm long so only need a couple of small ones! The bushes I have found all seem to be for suspension components and the like!

Cheers!

Surely the parts department at a main dealer for whatever your make of van is, will be the place to start. Presumably a Fiat Professional dealer as you've posted in the Fiat section.

I‘m waiting on a call back from my local dealer. I just wondered if others have had the same issue and could offer a quick solution.

Cheers

Check to see if you can get a cheap Chinese EGR online (usually around £20-£30) and, if so, if it comes with the bushes. Although for just the bushes, the main dealer does seem like the best bet.

Hi I have just ordered these from amazon. From my research they are called anti vibration bushes. They should arrive tomorrow so I will let you know if they fit.

Main dealer still hasn’t bothered to call back.

Arrived and installed. Good fit, the threads are a little longer on the ones I ordered than the originals (20mm vs 15mm) but doesn’t effect anything where they are situated. I used the original nuts to attach.

I’d you want to shop around you can get pretty much exactly the same as the originals. Search google for “waisted anti vibration bobbin” the dimensions are 20x20 x15mm thread. M6 size.
