If your a member of the caravan club then you could stay at the CL on the outskirts at Damhead just near the artificial ski slope. We use it often and its £10 a night with hook up. The couple who run it are lovely and very helpful mr and mrs ferguson, 10 min walk to pub shops and bus to city.

We've spent a lot of time in Edinburgh since we got the van, at first we used the CC site at Marine Drive, but then we discovered the great little CL at Roslin. It's only 5 minutes walk to the bus stop and so ideal for visiting Edinburgh. Journey time into the city is approximately 40 minutes. The charge is £12 per night with EHU, no shower block, just a loo.
We've recommended this CL to many, so much so that it's getting very difficult to get into it now::bigsmile:

On and off for many years.
The Lothian Buses which serve most of Edinburgh are great, and the all day ticket wonderful value. You do need the exact change. English bus passes don't work on Scottish buses and 'tother way round.

When we were up in Edinburgh last year, we spent over £30 on bus fares over the 2 weeks.......no bus pass then:crying:...... but we've got them now:party2:

We used them last time we were in Edinburgh. Good value even without a pass (y)
