Looks OK to me although if it had lights it would be better - but few bikes sold in this country have them fitted as standard.

As it says in the blurb that sort of transmission is good for hills and if you have the sort of figure children pay to bounce up and down on it is even better.

Since 1996, had Elddis/Swift/Rapido/Rimor/Chausson MHs. Autocruise/Globecar PVCs/Compactline i-138
Doesn't seem bad, but I'd do some research on here first to understand the specification a bit more and what to look out for:

http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/

Initial thoughts of things to check:
  • There's only a 1 year guarantee on it excluding consumables ... is the battery classed as a consumable? Are you able to extend the battery warranty (some suppliers give 2 or 3 years guarantees on them as they are such a large part of the cost of the bikes)
  • How long does it take to recharge/what's required for you to do this in your MH?
  • How easy would it be to get spare parts?
  • How long have the suppliers been in business?

The design and specs look very good. Not bad value either.

Be interested if anyone has experience of a chain drive.
I like the idea that it would be easy ro get both wheels out if you had a puncture.

Looks good for the price, we have had pedelecs for a number of years now and purchased the set out of MH to specifically accommodate them, thats how much we use them on holiday.
Previously we have taken them on the roof of the car, thats a right pain. Anyway we did 85 mile around Quiberon last year which we really enjoyed.

You will find with the shimano hub gears that are fitted that you will never use first gear and probably start off on the flat in something like fourth, thats how easy it is :thumb:

Spares are only the same as any other bike apart from the electronics, the company would have to fix those. I have never seen an ebike battery with more than 12 months warranty though the bike components will probably be longer than that and may be lifetime on the frame.

Similar spec and design to the one you posted at the top of the thread but a couple of hundred quid more..........looks like the basic bike is the same as theirs.
In the cycling community the word I hear is the last place you want to buy a bike from is Halfords.
