I'm considering buying 2 eBikes, being large people we are looking for fixed frame bikes (not folding) they will not be used for long distances, my wife likes the Dutch type frame.
The budget will be around £1500 for the 2, I know as as ebike prices go this is not a huge budget but given my past record this is as much as I can gamble :)

For your budget you would be best off looking for some second hand ones preferably with Bosh crank drives even then I think you will need to spend a bit more.

Yeah suspected that, off on holiday in a couple of month's (not in van) and will hire a couple for a few days and depending on how it go's will look at the budget again.

We bought Gazelle’s C7+.

There’s a chap in Bristol who imports them from Holland. Jane4gav have bought from him, and I think he’s very good.

We love the bikes- Dutch style with lots of power, motor central on the crank.

We just cycled into Padstow from St Merryn and it was a breeze!

Thanks will certainly keep that in mind

We brought our bikes from 50 cycles, very happy with them . Had an email from them a short while ago to say that they were doing part exchange and would be renovating and reselling the old ones

Don't spend too much especially if you're only going to use them infrequently, it's so easy to get seduced into buying more expensive ones but in reality unless you do a lot of riding they're not likely to make much difference to you ... just your wallet!

how about

Excellent bike for heavy riders and commuting.
Big front drive hub motor.
Almost a motorbike, with steady, comfy ride and great hill climbing.

My thoughts too, we use the van infrequently and won't be using the bikes at home, so will have to be careful with what we decide to buy.
