I have been looking for a half decent hybrid ebike for a while now, budget around £2.5k. The halfords one here looked attractive, so I resolved to go and look at one. I should add that I have owned two full size ebikes in the last ten years, and both proved unreliable.

However, I was looking on FB Marketplace today and lo and behold, one appeared, not ten miles away! I could not believe what I was looking at. Just four weeks old, ridden for just 56 miles, and priced at £1000 cash. Today only! Hot footed, I crossed the City and tried it.

It's immaculate, a joy to ride, and it's sitting in my garage right now. The man needed the money...

Well done that man...a bargain if ever there was one....happy riding....did it come with a bell....🚲

Wow, looks a genuine bargain and with a decent motor like that, should last you better than the others. You may know but the batteries last longest if you store them half full rather than full all the time and bringing the battery inside in the depths of winter helps too.

General rule of thumb with Lithium is no lower than 20% and no higher than 80 %. So I read somewhere!

Did you make sure it wasn't on hire purchase, your highlighted bill shows the value £2359 as outstanding.……?

Well done on grabbing a bargain. 👍

I got a Wisper last year, the lady paid £1760 and sold it to me for £500, it had only done 14miles 😁

I showed the Halfords advert to my wife, she said she prefers a chopper, good night folks 😁😁

Ask your wife if a bike withchopper handles like this will do 😂 I saw it at the seaside made from 3 bikes during lockdown 😂

Sounds a good deal, very good deal! I’d just also make sure it was not purchased on an employer bike to work scheme. Seems extremely odd that somebody “needs the money” so they are willing to lose close to £1500 within a couple of weeks. It if it is genuine, you certainly have a bargain.

Possible insurance scam, report it stolen and claim some money back?

Well, I've been out and bought some mudguards and a side stand, and the rear rack arrives tomorrow courtesy of Amazon, and I've been tearing around Hamble village despite the heat. I even went on the trail through Hamble Common down to the beach and back!
Loving it, and I have yet to get a sweat on, despite the weather!
