Hi all, just trying to get sorted. We take delivery of our Autotrail Dakota on Thursday and can't wait :) But, we want to be able to stay set up but still manage to get out and about accompanied by our Springer. Can anyone recommend an eBike (probably 2) and trailer setup to avoid us pulling a small car on an A frame. All suggestions gratefully received. By the way, we are not experienced cyclists so need to keep it simple. Thanks in advance.

Not sure about the ebikes as I use an old school push bike.
As for trailers, Doggyhut do some and I`ve been thinking about getting one for our pooch, but what I did learn is that it might be a mistake to assume you dog will just jump in and take to it immediatly. Sometimes they take a bit of training / encouragement to use.
Lots of Doggyhut on Amazon and ebay

Your main problem is carrying it all.
The bikes will go on a rack but a couple of ebikes will be around 20 to 25kg each and take some lifting on to a rack.
Then you have the problem of the dog trailer which would probably have to go inside the van getting in the way.

Im hoping she will be ok with that as she has a soft cage (hate that word) that she loves at the moment.

We have crank drive Kalkhoffs and a Solvit trailer. We did have a different brand of trailer originally but it was very heavy, if money's no object, buy an all aluminium trailer, the Solvit was a half decent compromise.
Take your time getting your pooch used to the trailer before you even go near the road, it'll pay dividends.
Our two will trot alongside the bikes all day and are good in traffic too, but the trailer is useful on hot days or if there's a bit of distance involved.
