Hi guys and girls
Sat on village aire in France with with electric fan heater on all night nice 18 inside 3 out, it's 5 euroes per day for electricity.
Just wondering how it compers with the cost or running a eberspacher diesel blown air heater.

You will get a lot of hot air with a question like that.

I had a Webasto which had a remote control programmer with it. It used diesel from the van tank, so you would be unlikely to run out. And of course, you could be off grid with it. We set it up to come on and off at different times. It cost pennies to use, but that was some years ago now.

I've never managed to notice any difference in diesel level when using the heater. I suspect it's probably cheaper to use a diesel heater and gas for hot water than pay for a hook up but at 5 euros a day hardly going to break the bank.
The gas I used to recon before the recent increases was about 70p a day

Our Chinese 5kW diesel heater will use 0.166L/hr to maintain 18c in with a 3c outside which equates to 6 hours running per litre of fuel.
I run our diesel heater on home heating oil that cost 35p per litre when I bought the heating oil I'm using at present.

Raul's consumption is better than ours as our van insulation is pretty naff compared to his Baltic weather version. :giggle:
