Would you trust them and transfer tens of thousands over to them to make a payment to a German bank when a private purchase is pending. How do you know it is their account the money is being transferred to, with all the cons around these days.

Just trying to be cautious, what's the best way of paying for a private purchase in Germany?

Paul.

Would it not be easier to do a bank transfer, can you not transfer x in gbp and it would be converted to x euro at the receiving bank.

If i do a bank transfer i always do a £1 as a check its gone where it should.

There are limits to what you can do in a day also.

If you have a Euro card leave a small balance to be paid on collection. It gives you protection.

I used HiFx for a huge transaction, however their rates were not as good as I now find Revolut but I doubt you have time to set up Revolut for a large transaction.

Easy FX are safe they are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) used them to pay for the previous van.
Don't accept the online rate, ring them up and haggle.
