East or West Route?

Looking to miss the World Cup and "Head for the Med" in late November and into December Home for Christmas though.

To get to Lloret area which would esteemed expert members suggest would the sort of best route? Thinking it may be cold in the top half of France.....

So the east route via Lyon or the west route via Bordeaux etc..... Google Maps suggests straight down via the A75 on the toll-free route.....

I seem to remember the A75 goes very high .
We used to use the West route then go bordeaux for toulouse before turning sth.
If it's a short trip, highly recommend peage with auto pay thingy. Its only money and makes an easier life

Which ever route you use, take your time if the weather is good and enjoy France, if the weather is bad it’s worth considering peage to get the journey over with.
