Whilst looking out the Van window this morning Nicki spotted a White Tailed Sea Eagle which landed on the vacant pitch behind us. They normally can occasionally be spotted on the Isle of Wight apparently. Unfortunately by the time I went to take a photograph it flew away. This is our largest native bird I'm told.
Phil. .
P.S We are currently staying in Netley Marsh so not a million miles away from the Isle of Wight. Probably came over on the High southerly winds we have at the moment.

They’re very well travelled! Here are the GPS tracks for just two of the Isle of Wight releases:

Wow would love to see one, a Highlands trip is planned at some point but doubt we’ll be that lucky to spot one.

Go to the Kilder Forest. You may be lucky.

Amazing. Great link to tracks to Orion. Thanks, although I can't seem to find the ones relevant to the screenshots you posted?

I was in the IoW for a job not long ago and we saw one cruising high up above near The Needles. Incredible sight. The GPS track has one passing pretty much over our house too! I'll have to keep my eyes peeled.

Go to the Isle of Mull and have a trip on the boat Lady Jayne you are pretty much guaranteed to see them. This is a shot I took from the boat a few years ago
